SURFOLY showcases circular solutions for olive by-products in The Hague

The whole Surfoly consortium was present in The Hague at the European Biomass Conference to present the latest results of the peoject.

The University of Perugia focused on char production from olive stone and on its use for polyphenols extraction from olive mills wastewater. Alf Mabrouk from Marocco discussed the industrial challenge of incorporating it in new feed recipes. The Institute Agronomique Vetėrinaire in Marocco and the American University of Beirut in Lebanon on the effect of using it in the diet of sheeps and goats. TREE srl from Italy and AUB from Lebanon focused on the environmental and economic optimization of the circular business model.

Experts and stakedholders were given the opportunity to share their comments on the potentiality of Surfoly’s breakthrough business model in the following networking round table.
